SkyHawke Named Supporting Partner of PGA Teaching & Coaching Summit; Renews as Product Demonstration Partner
PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. – SkyHawke Technologies, makers of the industry’s most innovative rangefinders for golfers, has been named a supporting partner of the PGA Teaching & Coaching Summit, which marks the 10th edition of presenting the largest educational forum in golf, Dec. 6-10, at PGA Learning Center in Port St. Lucie, Fla.
Additionally, SkyHawke will renew its agreement as a Product Demonstration Partner at the PGA Learning Center in Port St. Lucie, an award-winning 35-acre state-of-the-art golf park that has become a national model for practice facilities.
“The PGA of America is proud to welcome SkyHawke as a supporting partner of the greatest assembly of golf instructors anywhere, the PGA Teaching & Coaching Summit, and for it renewing its commitment to be part of our family of outstanding Product Demonstration Partners at the PGA Learning Center,” said PGA of America President Roger Warren. “SkyHawke joins our Association in a commitment to making golf an enjoyable experience for players of all abilities and in our mission to ensure that PGA Professional can further enhance educational opportunities such as the Summit.”
Skyhawke, with headquarters in Jackson, Miss., has developed since 2001 innovative hand-held golf GPS systems, including the SkyCaddie™, which was launched in 2003. It has been a popular tool for professional caddies, tour professionals as well as enhancing the golf experience for the avid amateur player.
“We are extremely proud of our relationship with the PGA of America, and are honored to be invited to participate as a supporting partner of this important educational forum for golf instructors,” said SkyHawke Technologies’ CEO Richard Edmonson. “We also are grateful for being selected again as a Product Demonstration Partner at the PGA Learning Center. Our association with the PGA of America has served to deepen our profound respect for the unparalleled commitment of its 28,000 members to both grow and protect the game for the millions who play it. It is an honor to be able to support, through these programs, the PGA’s mission to grow participation in golf and the business of golf.”
The PGA Teaching & Coaching Summit, The PGA of America’s largest educational event, is presented by Callaway Golf and also supported by EATON-Golf Pride Grips.
The Summit began in 1988 in Dallas, Texas, as a forum for ideas and teaching methods. The biennial PGA Teaching & Coaching Summit evolved from indoor sessions (1988-2000) to an all-outdoor classroom amphitheater at the PGA Learning Center (from 2002 to today). In 2004, the PGA Teaching & Coaching Summit featured more than 800 attendees representing 44 states and a record 13 countries.
Celebrating its 90th anniversary, The PGA of America was founded in 1916, and is a not-for-profit organization that promotes the game of golf while continuing to enhance the standards of the profession. The Association is comprised of more than 28,000 men and women PGA Professionals who are dedicated to growing participation in the game of golf.
