Question: My SkyCaddie is displaying inaccurate yardages. What do I do?
Answer:
If you continue to have problems acquiring satellites, try resetting the GPS on your SkyCaddie. This can be done using the following procedure:
SG1 and SG2:
- Turn on your SkyCaddie and open any course for play.
- Press the "Menu" button
- Scroll to and select "Advanced"
- Select "Yes" to "Use Advanced Menu"
- Scroll to and select "GPS"
- Scroll to and select "Reset GPS"
- Select "Reset" to reset the satellite search.
- Finally, take your SkyCaddie outside and let it search for satellites. Since it was reset, it may take up to 15-20 minutes.
SG3 and SG4:
- Turn on your SkyCaddie and open any course for play.
- Press the "Menu" button
- Scroll to and select "Advanced"
- Select "Yes" to "Use Advanced Menu"
- Scroll to and select "GPS"
- Scroll to and select "Reset"
- Select "Reset" to reset the satellite search.
- Finally, take your SkyCaddie outside and let it search for satellites. Since it was reset, it may take up to 15-20 minutes.
SG5:
- Turn on the SkyCaddie and open any course and hole from the SkyCourse List.
- Press the MENU button on the lower left hand side to access the MENU options.
- Using the directional button, scroll through the Menu options to ADVANCED MENU.
- Press SELECT to use the ADVANCED MENU.
- Using the directional button, scroll to GPS and press SELECT.
- Scroll to RESET and press SELECT.
- Press RESET.
- Once the device comes on, open up your course for play and stand by while your SkyCaddie acquires satellites. This may take 15-20 minutes.
